Vacaro has recalled 500 self-balancing scooter/hoverboard due to a fire hazard. The recall brands are the Vacaro brand Glide65, Drift8 and Trek 10.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the lithium-ion battery packs can overheat and catch fire or explode.
The recalled units were sold stores in California and online at VecaroLifeStyle.com.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled scooters/hoverboards and contact Vecaro to return the unit for a free repair or credit towards a different model scooter.
