WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is back home after she was hospitalized for a benign gallbladder condition.

According to a release from the U.S. Supreme Court, Ginsburg has been discharged from Johns Hopkins University Hospital after suffering from a gallstone.

The 87-year-old justice is expected to return to the hospital for follow-up outpatient visits in the coming weeks to "eventually remove the gallstone non-surgically," the Supreme Court said in a release.

Ginsburg is currently the oldest member of the Supreme Court. This isn't the first time the longtime Supreme Court justice had a health scare. When Ginsburg underwent treatment for pancreatic cancer in August of 2019, it marked her fourth battle with cancer.
