ATLANTA — A high school in Georgia is warning parents about a drinking danger.

Teachers at Henry W. Grady High School in Georgia say students are putting rum extract and vanilla extract in their coffee to get drunk. Those ingredients are usually used for baking cakes and cookies.

Teachers say students stop at Starbucks, then at a grocery store on the way to school.

Pure vanilla extract contains a minimum of 35 percent alcohol.

Teachers say at least one student had to go to the hospital for drinking too much vanilla and rum extract.
