A scary video shared from the Utah Highway Patrol is serving as a reminder for motorists to slow down, especially during inclement weather.

The video, from inside the patrol car of a Utah State Trooper, shows a truck driving too fast in the rain lose control.

The truck slams into the side of the trooper before hitting an SUV that was already damaged in a previous crash.

According to UHP, Sergeant Nelson was responding to his third crash of the day in the same area — all drivers who were traveling too fast in the rain.

Sgt. Nelson even had a fire unit set up behind him with their lights on for a warning to on-coming motorists to slow down, according to UHP.

Luckily, UTP says Nelson was not seriously injured. They want the video to serve as a vivid reminder to slow down and move over when you see emergency vehicles.

"Please, when you see emergency lights, Slow Down, Move Over, and remember there is someone out there trying to keep you safe."
