RECALL: Dresser sold through Walmart online recalled for stability hazard

Posted at 5:09 PM, Aug 16, 2016

Sauder Woodworking has recalled their four-drawer dresser sold exclusively in Walmart's online marketplace due to stability concerns.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recalled chests are unstable unless they are anchored to the wall to stop them from tipping over.

A recall alert said the chests do not comply with the voluntary safety standard.

Consumers can contact Sauder Woodworking at 800-523-3987 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

The white laminated chests were made between April and June of this year.

You can check the date code on the back of the unit.

Date code:

  • 04/2016
  • 05/2016
  • 06/2016

As of right now, no incidents or injuries have been reported.

Sauder Woodworking will issue a full refund or you can request a free repair and wall anchoring kit. You can read more here.
