GREENVILLE, S.C. — A man with a gun tattooed on his forehead was ironically arrested for illegally possessing a gun this week.

Officials say it started after a car wreck when Michael Vines threw a fully-loaded S&W .38-caliber revolver into the grass nearby.

City of Greenville firefighters at the location saw the incident and reported it to police, who recovered the weapon later.

Vines is federally prohibited from possessing a firearm and was charged with driving under a suspended license, driving too fast for conditions and unlawful carrying of a firearm.

He will only be charged for the weapon he threw out the window, not the one on his face.
