Sometimes what players do before they take the field is more important than what they do on it.

KRCR News Channel 7 in California shared this video of Foothill High School football players laying flowers at the feet of cheerleader Ashley Adamietz, who has been diagnosed with leukemia. Orange is a color associated with leukemia awareness.

Adamietz was clearly touched by the gesture, and she expressed her gratitude via Twitter.

Football season is just getting started, but this is already one of the highlights of the year.
