Halloween is just around the corner but with COVID-19 restrictions in place, many are wondering what the holiday will look like this year.

Hershey's recently rolled out a map to help you plan your holiday with safety in mind. The map breaks down COVID-19 risk levels by county for the entire country, as well as worldwide, and offers advice on how you can celebrate.

First, you want to hover over the county you live in, or plan to trick-or-treat in, to see the current risk level. The site breaks the risk down using colors.

  • Green: <1 daily new cases per 100,000 people
  • Yellow: 1<10 daily new cases per 100,000 people
  • Orange: 10<25 daily new cases per 100,000 people
  • Red: >25 daily new cases per 100,000 people

After you find your county, scroll down and you'll see tabs that match the color zones. Click on the color for your county to see recommended activities.

Tampa Bay area counties currently vary between yellow and red.

  • Yellow counties: Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, DeSoto
  • Orange counties: Hillsborough, Polk, Highlands, Citrus
  • Red counties: Hardee

*As of September 17

Make sure you check the map again closer to Halloween to see the current risk level for your county.
