Frontier Airlines says a technical glitch is behind the alarming email that some travelers were sent on Thursday.
The email, sent the week before Thanksgiving, told some customers their upcoming flight was canceled.
The email directed customers to call a hotline to speak with an agent, but some customers say they called and never got an answer.
The airline eventually took to Twitter to apologize for the email, which they say was sent in error because of a "technical problem."
This evening, a technical problem generated an email to some customers stating their upcoming flight was cancelled. This email was sent in error. We sincerely apologize.
