Video shows a woman being severely injured after she pursued a man who snatched her purse at a McDonald's restaurant in Okeechobee.
The incident happened on Thursday at about 8:30 p.m.
Police said the suspect entered the restaurant, approached the booth in which the elderly woman was sitting, reached over the backrest and grabbed her tan Coach purse.
Surveillance video shows the woman chasing the man to his car. He backed out, knocking the woman to the ground.
The woman was injured and is currently hospitalized. Her condition is unknown.
Okeechobee police said the suspect, Charles Alton Stratton Jr., turned himself in on Saturday.
He faces charges of robbery, grand theft and aggravated battery with a vehicle.
