Police in Santa Maria, California responded to an assault Friday morning.
In a tweet, the department said officers investigated the incident that occurred on shortly after 7 a.m. local time.
In a follow up call, police said the suspect is Sean Shirley, 35, of Santa Maria.
According to police, he stabbed a male victim with tweezers, causing lacerations.
How the assault unfolded is still under investigation.

He was arrested and will be booked in Santa Barbara.
Santa Maria High School was not impacted by the incident, police said, and was not placed on lockdown.
