NEW YORK, N.Y. -- A bus driver apparently spit on a woman during a dispute in Brooklyn, video of the incident shows.

The video, posted on Twitter just after 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, shows a woman with a small child in a stroller shouting and walking away from a B25 bus. The driver then parks the bus, chases after the woman as she walks down the sidewalk and appears to spit on her, the video shows.

As the bus driver runs back to his vehicle, an unidentified man shouts at him asking, "Why would you spit in her face? Why would you spit in her face again?"

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority said the incident is under review.

“The bus operator depicted in this disturbing video is being held out of service while we conduct an investigation and we encourage anyone with information to contact us,” an MTA spokesman said on Monday.

The driver and the woman were arguing over the stroller before the incident occurred, according to the woman who posted the video.

It’s not immediately clear whether the encounter was posted immediately after the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call 511 or email the MTA.
