A high school in Kentucky is hoping to help its seniors prepare for the real world by holding an "Adulting Day" which will work with adults in the community to teach them how to be an adult.

According to WAVE 3 news, the Bullitt Central High School Class of 2019 received one-on-ones during Adulting Day that showed them how to cook in a dorm room, change a tire, pay bills and manage a credit card and financing.

“I think that the idea occurred to me originally, I saw a Facebook post that parents passed around saying they needed a class in high school on taxes, and cooking,” BCHS Family Rescource & Youth Services Center Director Christy Hardin told WAVE 3 . “Our kids can get that, but they have to choose it. And (Wednesday) was a day they could pick and choose pieces they didn’t feel like they had gotten so far."
