President Trump said in a new interview overnight that if he were to be impeached, the people would revolt.
Some democrats are calling for impeachment as they take over the House and Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen is sentenced.
In an interview with Reuters, president says he is not concerned and that he did nothing wrong.
"It's hard to impeach somebody who hasn't done anything wrong and who's created the greatest economy in the history of our country," he said.
Unemployment has hit a 49-year- low under this administration according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, but stocks are on track for the worst year in a decade.
When asked about impeachment talks, Trump said "I'm not concerned, no. I think that the people would revolt if that happened."
Michael Cohen has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for crimes including campaign finance violation, tax evasion, and lying to Congress.
"Michael Cohen is a lawyer. I assume he would know what he's doing," Trump said.
