Surveillance video captured a man trying to break into a Maryland ATM using a stolen backhoe.
It happened on June 1, at about 4:30 a.m. The backhoe was stolen, then driven about five miles to a bank, where the man tried to use it to break in.
Despite extreme efforts, the suspect wasn't able to get any money, but he did cause about $10,000 worth of damage to the ATM.
Detectives believe the man was also behind an ATM theft in March of 2016. In that case, an investigation revealed he and two accomplices broke into a tobacco shop, stealing cash and taking the entire ATM.
It is unknown whether or not the man was captured.
