LIST: Where can I get tested for COVID-19 in the Tampa Bay area?

CITRUS COUNTY

The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) is offering no-cost COVID-19 testing at the Central Ridge Community Center at 77 Civic Cir, Beverly Hills, FL 34465. The drive-thru site is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. It's also open Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

*Some days may be unavailable due to previously scheduled events at the community center and inclement weather. View citrus.floridahealth.gov for a list of dates, call Nomi Health at 904-295-0562 or book online to avoid confusion

Appointments are highly recommended to avoid wait times. To make an appointment visit https://testing.nomihealth.com/signup/fl. Both rapid and PCR tests will be available at the site while supplies last.

DESOTO COUNTY

The DeSoto Health Department is offering COVID-19 free testing at DeSoto County Public Library (125 N. Hillsborough Avenue) in Arcadia. Reservations are available but not required. To schedule an appointment and for operating hours head to their website.

HARDEE COUNTY

The Florida Department of Health in Hardee is offering free drive-up COVID-19 testing for Hardee County residents at 115 K.D. Revell Road in Wauchula. Appointments are required. Call at 863-773-4161 or visit their website. There is also testing available at the following sites:

HERNANDO COUNTY

The Florida Department of Health in Hernando County partnered with Nomi Health to provide no-cost, COVID-19 testing at the Hernando County Fairgrounds.

The drive-thru site will be open 7 days a week, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The health department also offers continues to offer the COVID-19 vaccine.

A $10 grocery voucher to major grocery chains here in Hernando County for each dose of the COVID-19 vaccine received at the health department ($20 total per person.)

All COVID-19 vaccine appointments must be made by phone, by calling 352-540-6800 and choosing option 7.

HIGHLANDS COUNTY

Residents who want to be tested are asked to call the local health department at 863-382-7260 or 863-382-7270 during business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. By appointment only.

MANATEE COUNTY

  • Bradenton Area Convention Center
    • Site operates 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. seven days a week
    • Southwest parking lot, 1 Haben Boulevard in Palmetto

Testing (including both PCR and rapid testing) are free of charge. These are walk-up operations; no appointment is necessary. Visitors are asked to bring proof of Florida residency (driver’s license, utility bill with Florida address, etc.). For more information, call (941) 242-6646.

PASCO COUNTY

The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County (DOH-Pasco) is working with community partners to provide COVID-19 testing throughout Pasco County. It is recommended that people call facilities prior to going for testing to ensure they meet any guidelines required by the provider.

COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the days listed below at the following DOH -Pasco Clinics:

  • Tuesday and Thursday’s ONLY at: 10841 Little Rd., New Port Richey, FL 34654
  • Monday and Friday’s ONLY at: 13941 15th St., Dade City, FL 33525

Appointments are mandatory. To schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination at DOH-Pasco, people can call 727-861-5260 and select Option 1 for Medical Services then Option 2 for Immunizations.

PINELLAS COUNTY

The Pinellas County Health Department has several testing location sites for residents. Testing costs and insurance requirements vary. For private pharmacies and urgent care facilities, call ahead to confirm cost/insurance requirements.

  • Tropicana Field
    • 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Both PCR and rapid antigen testing will be offered at no cost
    • Testing will be available on a drive-up basis, no appointment needed

    The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County (DOH-Sarasota) two drive-thru testing locations and two walk-up testing locations.

    Drive-thru:

      • Both PCR and Rapid Tests: Monday - Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
