Need an excuse to eat some delicious melted cheese between two slices of buttery toast today? Look no further. Wednesday is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day and restaurants and food trucks in the Tampa Bay area are celebrating with their own versions of the classic comfort food that evokes childhood memories. Some restaurants even offer deals on the classics.
The Riddle on the Griddle food truck will be parked in Hyde Park Village in the Village Circle from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the first 25 sandwiches are free. Get more info here.
Mr. C's Grilled Cheese food truck will be parked at JSA Health in St. Pete from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and then Coppertail Brewing in Tampa from 6 p.m to 9 p.m.

The Landing Bar and Grill in Valrico has a special on their signature bacon wrapped grilled cheese on texas toast with creamy tomato bisque. Get more info here.
There's also a festival completely dedicated to the grilled cheese. The Springtime Grilled Cheese Festival in St. Pete is going on from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Get more info here.
