Two Tampa Bay hospitals get 'D' safety ratings

Posted

A recent report from the Leapfrog Group placed two Tampa Bay-area hospitals in one of the lowest categories possible for patient safety.

Tampa General Hospital and Bayfront Health Center in St. Petersburg both received "D" ratings on and A-F grading scale. Around 93 percent of hospitals listed in the nationwide report scored higher. Only 1 percent scored below a "D" rating, receiving the ever-undesirable "F" rating.
