A 17-year-old was fatally shot Saturday night in Tampa Park near the intersection of East 7th Ave. and North Nuccio Parkway in Tampa.

Tampa Police identified the victim as Tee'on Milledge. The shooting occurred at 1015 Lily White Court in Tampa at about 9:50 p.m.

Just about three hours earlier the annual Krewe of Sant' Yago Knight Parade rolled down 7th Avenue in Ybor City. The shooting was not connected to the parade.

Investigators believe the shooting was between two rival neighborhood groups. Neighbors said they heard at least fifty gunshots.

"I grabbed a child and them into the house and we laid on the floor," said neighbor Edith Starks.

Police continue to investigate, conducting interviews and pursuing leads, the statement added.
