A Tampa man has been found guilty and sentenced to life for the death of a woman found in the truck of his vehicle, authorities said.
A six-member jury found Kydel Weldon guilty of murder Wednesday in the Hillsborough Thirteenth Judicial Circuit at the Hillsborough County Courthouse.
Hillsborough Circuit Judge Christopher Sabella sentenced Weldon to prison for life.
9Weldon was arrested in May 2016 in connection with the death of Tina Ryan, 45, who was identified as Weldon's neighbor.
At the time, Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said they launched an investigation after Weldon's roommate found blood throughout their home at 6802 Thrasher Drive.
When Weldon was found, his clothing and hands were covered in what appeared to be blood, deputies said.
Deputies then discovered the woman's body in the trunk of Weldon's vehicle.
