In its 64th year, the Scripps Howard Foundation recognized excellence in journalism in 17 categories.
Among the winners was Lane DeGregory of the Tampa Bay Times, who submitted the winning selection of stories for the Human Interest Storytelling category.
DeGregory visited the ABC Action News Weekend Edition Sunday, April 9, where Action News reporter Lauren St. Germain asked DeGregory about her award-winning accomplishment.
