If you're a parent looking to get rid of too much Halloween candy brought home by the kids, you have a great option that not only benefits your child's pocket, it also benefits U.S. troops overseas.
How does it work?
Bring your extra candy to a participating dental office and they will pay you for each pound of candy you bring in. That candy will then be sent to troops overseas, along with a toothbrush, so that the troops can receive some goodies in their Soldiers' Angels care packages.
Over the years, more than 130 tons of candy has been collected.
