An online neighborhood database site narrowed down the safest suburbs around Florida, including more than a dozen around the Bay.
Niche.com made a list out the 100 safest areas based on crime rates from the FBI and U.S. census.
All but one of the communities from the Bay included on the list are located in Pinellas County.
Indian Shores had the highest ranking spot for the area, coming in at number 3.
A suburb in Miami and Orlando took the top two spots.
Real Estate agent Liane Jameson recommends taking the list though with a grain of salt.
"Because I think there's good pockets everywhere," she said.
She says Kenneth City and the South Pasadena, which both made the list, are some of the most affordable.
She also points to Oldsmar and Seminole, also included, as good areas for families on a budget.
Temple Terrace was the only suburb on the list in Hillsborough Co. ranking at 97 out of 100.
