Don't look now, but summer is right around the corner.
Not to fear. It's the Straz Center to the rescue.
The Straz Center, Tampa's premier performing arts center in downtown Tampa, is offering 70 summer camps that are theater- or performing arts-related to help aspiring thespians.
Matt Belopavlovish stopped by the Action News studio on Sunday to tell us about upcoming summer programs and camps at the Straz..
Registration opens for Patel Conservatory dance, music and summer camps and classes, beginning the week of May 23.
Seventy camps and classes are offered, most with performance opportunities, for students of all ages and abilities.
Some camps require auditions.
Theater and music auditions will be held Thursday, May 19.
