A St. Petersburg police cruiser was involved in a fiery, multi-vehicle traffic crash on Interstate 275 south of Tampa early Saturday, officials said. No injuries reported.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a St. Petersburg police officer stopped on I-275 to assist a motorist whose vehicle had broken down in the northbound lanes, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
A third vehicle collided into the police cruiser and the disabled vehicle.
Two of the vehicles involved - not the police cruiser - caught fire.
No injuries were reported.
