A woman with no identification was found lying in the street at the intersection of 15th Street East and 26th Avenue East in Bradenton early Saturday morning, authorities said.
The woman was struck by an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene and left the victim on the street.
The victim is a black woman in her early 40s.
She was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for treatment.
At this time, there are no known witnesses to the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is asking anyone who witnessed the incident or have information about the crash to contact the Highway Patrol at (239) 939-1800.
