Dexter is an attentive, 2-year-old male terrier mix.

He has been selected to participate in the Heel to Heal Prison Program and will be housed for eight weeks at the Hernando County Woman’s Correctional Facility.

Dexter will be teamed with trustees and trainer John Gore from New Sentry K9 Services. They will teach Dexter basic commands, good manners and tricks.

When he completes the program, Dexter will graduate with good citizenship.

Dexter is loveable and has a lot of playful energy. He also loves to snuggle.

Dexter gets along well with other dogs at the animal shelter. He is laid back, loves kids, and enjoys to meet new people.

Dexter is heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on his vaccinations.
