Polar was found during the Christmas holidays, but she can be a spring present for some lucky family.

Polar, a Terrier-mix, was a stray who was  taken to the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center at Christmas time.

She now is a happy lass who loves everyone she meets.

The volunteers at Second Chance Friends rescue are helping Polar find a forever home.

About 2 to 3 years old, Polar is dog friendly. She also lives peacefully with cats at her foster home and doesn't react to them. Her favorite thing to do is chase tennis balls and get a belly rub.

Polar was heartworm positive, but has completed treatment. She now is healthy and ready for her forever home.

It would be best for Polar to live with a new owner who has a fenced-in yard.
