UPDATE: Brendan Michael Sigismondi is in custody according to the Pasco Sheriff's Office.

Pasco County sheriff's detectives are investigating the death of person found lying on Embassy Boulevard early Saturday morning.

Pasco deputies are investigating the incident as a homicide and have identified a suspect, Pasco County sheriff's spokeswoman Melanie Snow said in a news release.

About 2:30 a.m. a motorist flagged down a deputy after discovering a body on Embassy Boulevard east of Regency Park, the release said. The body has been identified as Thomas Christopher Blow, 36, of New Port Richey.

The deputy performed CPR until a Pasco fire rescue crew arrived and pronounced Blow dead on the scene.

The incident was initially investigated as a possible hit and run, but trauma to the upper body  revealed what investigators now believe is a homicide, a Pasco sheriff's office news release said.

Pasco detectives are asking the public's help to locate the suspect, Brendan Michael Sigismondi, 32.

Sigismondi is described as a white man with strawberry blond colored hair and blue eyes. He is 5-foot-8 and 190 pounds.

Pasco sheriff's detectives ask anyone information about the incident to contact the Pasco County Sheriff's Office tips line at 1-800-706-2488.
