Hundreds of Tampa Bay area residents got rid of tons of personal documents safely today.
Taking Action For You, ABC Action News hosted our annual Operation Shredding from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Westfield Citrus Park Mall.
Residents had a chance to get rid of old personal papers, documents and receipts to prevent identity theft.
Participants were able to shred up to five boxes of personal documents.
