Busch Gardens Tampa Bay says they have decided to cancel their University of South Florida student discount passes due to the pass being "poorly received and sales year-over-year are not enough to validate us continuing the offer this school year."
Karen Varga-Sinka with the amusement park says that Busch Gardens is "open to discussing a renewed offering of the USF student pass if the student leadership can guarantee that the demand is truly there."
An online petition has surfaced following the park's decision to cancel the pass.
"Get the Busch Gardens USF Student Pass Reinstated!" has almost 2,000 supporters asking the park to bring back the $50 pass so that hundreds of USF students can enjoy the discount this year.
