Minnie, a 4-year-old female Rottweiler, has had her share of hardships. Now she is looking for a friend or family who will show her the love Minnie deserves.

Minnie was found at the Hernando County Animal Control before she was taken in by volunteers with Gulfstream Guardian Angels Rottweiler Rescue.

She was picked up as a stray in Spring Hill. When Minnie arrived at the shelter, she was underweight and suffering from her loss.

What a difference care, attention and love can make. Today Minnie is a healthy dog. The veterinarian at Hays Towne Veterinary Hospital has repaired an abnormality and completed the spay procedure.

She walks well on a lead and takes treats gently. Minnie has a good temperament and is good with children and adults.

David James with Gulfstream Guardian Angels Rottweiler Rescue described Minnie as a Velcro dog. She clings to those who show her affection, James said.
