Make Wilson, the April 2 Rescues in Action superstar, a big part of your household

Posted at 1:29 PM, Apr 02, 2017

Wilson, a 2-to-3 year old Shepherd mix, had a "ruff" couple of years, but recently his life has turned around.

Wilson is a foster dog cared for by folks with Animalluver's Dream Rescue.  Just a few months ago, he had been placed on an euthanasia list at an area animal shelter.

Volunteers will Animalluver's Dream Rescue stepped in at the nick of time, right at Thanksgiving time.

When Wilson was placed in the care of the folks at Animalluver's Dream, he was underweight, lethargic and depressed, rescue officials said in an email.

After a series of veterinarian and specialist visits, Wilson is a bunching, bundle of joy. He has gained weight; Wilson now weighs 80 pounds. He is active, learning commands and is well-behaved.

He would do well in an active household with no small pets.

She has been spayed, microchipped and is up-to-date on her vaccinations.
