Locale Market chef shows the ease to whip up spread for tail-gating parties

The football season is back. Locale Market Chef Jeff Hileman and store general manager Mordechai Baron show how easy it can be to treat your friends to a great tail-gating party.
 
SPICY GRILLED BBQ WINGS Recipe
 
For Wing Rub –
Place all ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl and toss to incorporate.
 
For Go Chu Jang Wing Sauce – 
Place all ingredients into a small sauce pot over medium heat.
Stir until sugar melts, ensuring the sauce does not burn.
 
For Complete Dish – 
Toss 2 dozen wings in wing rub, cover, and refrigerate for 12 hours before cooking.
Cook wings over a charcoal grill or in a preheated 350 degree oven until cooked through.
Toss warm wings in sauce, and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped chives.

 

Ingredients:

Wing Rub yields approximately 2 cups

  • Brown sugar 1.25 cup
  • Kosher salt .5 cup
  • Paprika 2 T
  • Cayenne pepper 1 T
  • Chili Powder 1 T
  • Garlic Powder 1 T
  • Onion Powder 1 T
  • Mustard Powder 1 T

 

Go Chu Jang Wing Sauce yields approximately 1 pint

  • Cochujang Korean Chili Paste 1.5 cup
  • Sugar .75 cup
  • Cider vinegar .25 cup
  • Soy sauce 2 T
  • Ginger - small dice 1 T
  • Garlic - small dice 1 T
  • Toasted Seame Seeds 1 T
