A judge has ruled that a Bay Area man charged in the death of his five-year-old daughter is not competent to stand trial. The ruling aligns with a doctor's recommendation.

John Jonchuck is accused of throwing Phoebe Jonchuck off the Dick Meisner bridge in January of 2015, but judges have repeatedly found him mentally unfit to stand trial.

Tuesday's competency hearing was originally scheduled to be held last week, but a judge stated that Jonchuck had not been taking his medication while in jail.
