Interstate 75 remains closed in both directions in Sarasota County due to a fatal tanker traffic crash, officials said.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle fatal crash involving a semi fuel tanker.
The incident occurred about 10:45 p.m. Friday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Northbound and southbound I-75 is closed from Exit 182/Sumter Blvd. to Exit 179/Toledo Blade.
Motorists should find an alternate route of travel.
The road is expected to be closed for several more hours.
