With Christmas in the rear-view mirror, many residents in the Tampa Bay Area are looking for options when it comes to disposing or recycling their live Christmas trees.

Before you sit your Christmas tree out on the curb, first make sure your county offers Christmas tree pickup. Then, make sure you remove all decorations from the tree. This includes hooks, garland, tinsel and lights. Do not put the tree in a bag or a trash can and if you live in an apartment or condo, check with your property manager for disposal instructions.
