Police in Plant City are searching for the man involved in a homicide. It all happened at a mobile home in Rose Brook mobile home park late Monday night.
Investigators spent most of Monday night and Tuesday morning speaking with witnesses and trying to gather information.
It was shortly before 9 p.m. Monday when the 911 call came in about a disturbance in 3600 block of Baker Street. The caller was reporting a disturbance between two men at the mobile home park. When police got to the scene, they discovered a victim right out front. Officers later identified the victim as 31-year-old Jose Manuel Cazares, who had injuries to the chest.
Investigators hauled away an SUV from they scene, however they didn't reveal what part it could play in this investigation.
ABC Action News cameras were there throughout the night as Plant City investigators gathered evidence in the case.
The suspect was still on the loose as of Tuesday morning, and a motive is unknown at this point. Police describe the Rose Brook mobile home park as a quiet, small immigrant community.
Those we stopped to speak with were not fluent in English, but they were visibly shaken to walk their kids to school past a crime scene.
Investigators say it could be hard to get information from folks who live in that area since a lot of the families like to simply stick to themselves.
Editor's Note: Due to a language barrier, the incident was being investigated as a shooting, but it has been determined to be a stabbing.
