The sheriff's office has confirmed the death of a man who stumbled in the path of a moving school bus in Hillsborough County. Along with the driver, there were two students on the bus at the time.
The report said Harry Wilson, 72, was walking down Sinclair Hills near 24th Street North when he stumbled into the street. The bus driver saw Wilson and attempted to swerve, but Wilson fell into the back end of the bus and got knocked to the ground.
Emergency crews rushed him to the hospital with head injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
The students and the driver were uninjured.
The sheriff's office report said alcohol may have been contributed to Wilson's actions.
