The Florida Department of Transportation has released plans to replace the northbound side of the Howard Frankland Bridge and add express lanes.
Public hearings will be held on October 4 at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park and on October 6 at the Tampa Marriott Westshore.
According to the plans, the northbound bridge will be removed and the existing southbound bridge will be converted for northbound traffic. A new bridge will be built for southbound traffic. Auxiliary lanes will be converted to express lanes.
