Polk County Fire Rescue crews extinguished a fire Saturday night at 9th Street and Snively Avenue in Eloise near Winter Haven.

When crews arrived just before 9 p.m., approximately 50% of the wood-frame structure was on fire.

Four people lived at the home: 25-year-old male, 24-year-old female, 5-year-old male and 2-year-old female.

No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was called to assist the family with shelter, clothing and food.

An initial investigation shows the fire started at the rear of the home, the Polk County Fire Rescue said. The exact cause is unknown.

Polk County Fire Rescue turned the scene over to the Division of State Fire Marshal to determine whether the fire was arson or accidental.
