UPDATE: Tarpon Avenue at U.S. 19 is back open

The east side of Tarpon Avenue at U.S. 19 in Tarpon Springs is closed due to a downed power pole, authorities said.
All lanes on southbound U.S. 19 are open, while only one lane is open for northbound traffic on U.S. 19, the Tarpon Springs Police Department said.
Vehicles heading east on Tarpon Avenue west of U.S. 19 should detour north or south on U.S. 19. Vehicles heading west on Tarpon Avenue from the Eastlake area also is being detoured.
Workers with Duke Energy are on the scene.
No information has been released on how long portions of Tarpon Avenue will be closed.
