The Florida Highway Patrol says an 8 to 9 foot alligator blocked traffic on the Veterans Expressway on Wednesday morning.
The gator was in the southbound lanes of the Veterans Expressway near Hutchinson Road.
FHP had the gator removed but did say it was snapping at cars passing by.
The incident happened at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
