Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office are trying to identify a man seen on surveillance attempting to rob a Thonotosassa Winn Dixie and then threatening to blow up the store.
On Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, at approximately 8:15 p.m., an unknown white male entered the store located at 9535 Fowler Avenue East and handed a note to the manager, asking for an undisclosed amount of money or else he would set off explosives around the building.
The manager refused the demand and walked away, at which time the suspect left the store and got away.
Deputies arrived on scene, cleared the store and told the manager it was safe to resume business.
