Shortly after 8:40 a.m. on Monday, Delta airlines announced they had lifted their ground stop following a massive system outage that affected their flights worldwide.
Customers should be aware that delays and cancelations are expected throughout the day as a result of the outage.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, a power outage in Atlanta caused Delta computer systems and operations to go down around the world, resulting in flight delays for the entire airline.
Delta flights to and from Tampa International are facing delays and cancelations following the system outage.
Flight status systems, including airport screens, were incorrectly showing flights on time.

At 7:30 a.m., Delta shared a waiver for customers traveling on August 8 through August 12. Customers who have a ticket on a canceled or significantly delayed flight can get a refund. Get more info.
