A fire roared through a strip shopping plaza in Crystal River, causing extensive damage Saturday night.
Citrus County firefighters battled a fire at 1439 S.E. U.S. 19 in Crystal River about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
Multiple emergency response units responded to the scene. A segment of US 19 was closed during the incident.
Citrus sheriff's deputies help direct traffic away from area during the fire investigation.
