One man is dead and two more were hospitalized after they were shot in Dade City overnight, authorities said.
Pasco County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene of a triple shooting in the 37000 block of Withlacoochee Avenue in Dade City early Wednesday. They're trying to find a suspect and determine the motive.
Investigators say it all started at 37143 Withlacoochee Avenue. They got word of the shooting about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when three Hispanic men showed up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Deputies were then led to the location where it all happened, said Pasco County sheriff's spokeswoman Melanie Snow in a news release.
Authorities identified the man who died as 38-year-old Ricardo Hernandez. Another man was reportedly in critical condition. The injuries suffered by the third man were not as serious.
Preliminary information is the incident may possibly be gang or drug related, the release states. No suspect has been identified.
