The Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested Elise Rosa of Davenport and charged her with unoccupied residential burglary, occupied residential burglary and petit theft.

Deputies say she was caught on home surveillance cameras taking the packages from the front door of a home in Davenport.

"She's young. I think it's pointless. You should be focused on school or getting a job to get the things you want. She's too young for that," said one neighbor.

Deputies say she stole five Amazon packages in the Davenport Estates and Legacy Park subdivisions in Davenport.

One neighbor told us after she heard about the thefts she installed security cameras.

"It's just pointless things and I think they probably stole looking for gifts since Christmas is coming. People think we're going to order expensive things," said Jazmine Gautreaux.

The stolen packages contained items like a children's Minnie Mouse outfit and a children's Fischer Price toy boat set, according to reports from the sheriff's office.

Deputies say an anonymous tip led them to the suspect.

Rosa admitted to committing the burglaries and thefts, according to deputies.

Sheriff Grady Judd says porch pirates follow delivery trucks around in neighborhoods looking to steal your packages. This crime can occur any time of the year, but it's likely to occur now due to the holidays approaching.
