Lake Wales Police Department is looking for suspects caught on surveillance video placing a skimming device on an ATM.

On August 30, Citizen's Bank reported the device had been installed at their branch located at 2375 U.S. 27.

Authorities say the issue was brought to light after they were contacted by clients reporting fraudulent activity on their own accounts.

The bank found two suspects had placed a skimmer in their ATM on August 25 at about 8:30 a.m.

Video shows that the device is a slim sleeve which slid into the credit card slot and then fastened with tools.

The same suspects returned to the ATM on August 27 at about 10:13 p.m. to remove the device.

Detectives are working with the staff to see how many people were affected and to recover any evidence the suspects may have left behind.

Police say it's likely the skimming device collected personal banking information from people over that weekend.

Lake Wales PD encourages everyone to regularly check their bank statements and report suspicious activity to your bank and local law enforcement.

If you recognize the suspects in the video, please call (863) 678-4223 ext. 276 or Crime Stoppers.
