Tampa Police arrested a 12-year-old student for bringing a knife onto a school bus Wednesday morning.
According to a spokesperson from the Hillsborough County Schools, the bus driver noticed the knife and inquired about it.
The child immediately turned the knife over to the driver.
The spokesperson said the child was not trying to harm anyone, rather he was showing it to other kids.
Because a school bus is considered school grounds, the child was taken into custody.
It is unknown if any charges will be filed.
